A modern, comfortable approach to monitoring your heart
Monitoring heart health is essential for many people. Palpitations, dizziness, unexplained fatigue or rhythm irregularities may lead a healthcare professional to recommend cardiac monitoring. Yet this step can sometimes seem restrictive if it interferes with daily activities.
CardioSTAT® technology has been designed with this in mind. It offers a discreet, comfortable and reliable solution for recording cardiac activity over several days, without interrupting the patient’s daily routine.
Over the years, CardioSTAT® has established itself as the benchmark for prolonged cardiac monitoring:
These statistics testify to the confidence of patients and healthcare professionals alike, as well as to the performance and comfort offered by this technology.
CardioSTAT® is a compact, flexible cardiac monitor designed to record a continuous electrocardiogram (ECG) for 48 hours, 7 days or 14 days. Recognized by Health Canada as equivalent to the Holter monitor, it offers a modern, comfortable alternative to traditional cardiac monitoring.
Applied directly to the skin, it follows the body’s movements and remains strong enough to be worn during exercise and even in the shower.
Thanks to its ergonomic design, light weight and use of gel electrodes, CardioSTAT® ensures a stable, high-quality signal, while providing a comfortable experience throughout monitoring.
The CardioSTAT® service has been developed to provide a simple, accessible and efficient cardiac monitoring solution. Every aspect of the process has been designed to reduce the burden on patients, while maintaining a high level of clinical accuracy.
To help patients better understand the steps involved in monitoring, here is a clear and simplified overview of the CardioSTAT® process:
The CardioSTAT® test must first be prescribed by a physician or specialized nurse practitioner (SNP).
A member of our team installs the unit to ensure optimal positioning and proper operation.
The patient wears the device for the prescribed period – 48 hours, 7 days or 14 days – then returns the recorder by post using the envelope provided.
Recorded ECG data are analyzed and a detailed clinical report is generated.
The report is forwarded to the referring physician (or the professional listed on the request) to support clinical management.
Some heart rhythm irregularities occur intermittently and are not always detected during a clinical examination. Continuous cardiac monitoring makes it possible to capture these abnormalities as they occur in everyday life.
This type of test can be used to evaluate :
By continuously recording the heart’s electrical activity, CardioSTAT® provides an accurate picture of what’s going on throughout the day.
Thanks to its discreet and flexible design, CardioSTAT® can be worn comfortably without irritating the skin or restricting movement. Most patients tolerate it very well, even over extended periods.
The device can be worn during most daily activities, including work, sport, travel and showering.
Gel electrodes ensure greater stability and optimum signal quality, essential for accurate cardiological analysis.
Depending on clinical needs, monitoring can be carried out over 48 hours, 7 days or 14 days.
The report is forwarded to the referring physician (or the professional listed on the request) to support clinical management.
CardioSTAT® represents a modern and user-friendly option for anyone who requires long-term cardiac monitoring. By offering a more comfortable experience and high-quality monitoring, it helps improve symptom evaluation and contributes to more comprehensive patient management.
This service is available in all our branches – Sherbrooke, Saint-Hyacinthe and Drummondville – for fast, easy access to cardiac monitoring, close to home.
Feel free to discuss it with your healthcare professional to obtain a medical prescription for CardioSTAT®. In the meantime, if you have any questions, our team will be happy to provide information and support you throughout the process.
